Thank you Little Legs Baby Kilts

I was so excited to be nominated favourite small business in the #marchmeetthemaker series currently being promoted on Facebook and Instagram. Have a look at what Laura from Little Legs Baby Kilts wrote about my shop today, very kind indeed. Thank you!....

Lily's Vintage Linens specialises in antique cottons, from women's nightwear and lingerie to children's christening gowns. These long-forgotten items are usually Victorian or Edwardian and so great care is taken laundering darning, starching and pressing each item. It seems a lengthy process, but boy is it worth it. The dove white christening gowns always draw a swoon and the women's bedclothes are like something from a period drama. What's amazing is that these clothes are completely wearable to this day, such was the quality of the fabric and the skill of the seamstress of the time.

I am a great fan of small businesses and I really appreciate this support.

As the name suggests, Little Legs Baby Kilts make bespoke kilts and really cute matching outfits for children up to age 5. I wish I had known about this business when my wee boy was small, he could have matched his Daddy!

New logo

How do you like my new logo? I'm totally thrilled with it. It was designed, along with my stationery by the lovely Carissa Chan at Papermaze on Etsy. I can't recommend her enough, she was so patient and clever with her ideas. I'd love to know your thoughts...

Live to launder

Carefully removing buttons ready to start work on this pretty camisole. I wonder how long this one will take?
